G2Scholarships

Accelerating Representation of Underrepresented Communities in the Financial Advisory Industry

About the Scholarships

The Ensemble Practice is offering two scholarships for the G2 Leadership Institute to talented professionals from underrepresented groups. By eliminating financial barriers to participation in our two-year development program, we hope to improve diversity in the leadership of the industry.

We encourage anyone who comes from an underprivileged background to apply. This may include race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender and gender preference as well as socioeconomic circumstance. You, the applicant, know best what forces have influenced your life and career and what circumstances you have had to overcome.

Those who wish to apply should read the information below and submit a one-page essay to g2@ensemblepractice.com.

How to Apply

To apply, please submit a one-page essay telling us about your background, how it has influenced your career and what you plan to achieve by attending the G2 Leadership Institute. We know that you likely have much to say and fascinating stories to tell, but we must insist on limiting essays to one page so that our panel can read and consider all applications.

In addition to submitting an essay, applicants must complete the standard G2 program application.

Frequently Asked Questions

What the Scholarship Covers

Scholarships cover the entire program fee ($12,000) as well as your cost of stay for the four in-person sessions. Scholarship recipients will only be responsible for transportation to the sessions.

Scholarship Recipient Selection

The Ensemble Practice has invited a panel of four business owners who themselves stand for diversity and have helped create great businesses. The panel will select two scholarship recipients from the application pool.

When Scholarships Will Be Announced

Scholarships will be awarded on November 30, 2022. All scholarship applicants will be notified by email on this date.

Firm Sponsorship

While we prefer for G2 participants to be sponsored by their firms, we can waive that requirement for scholarship candidates. The program is designed to intersect with your current responsibilities and give you the opportunity to apply what you learn to your firm, but we are open to working with scholarship recipients in a flexible way that fits their circumstances.
