Understanding the Unique Experiences of Moms in the Advisory Industry
Report Overview
The idea for this survey originated with the “Advisor Moms Group” and The Ensemble Practice as a way of exploring and improving the experience of moms who work in advisory firms. Survey participants included members of the Advisor Moms Group on Facebook as well as Ensemble clients and contacts. We didn’t define who qualifies as a mom—we simply invited everyone who identified as a mom to share their experience. Throughout the report we will refer to survey respondents as participants and moms. “Moms” is the term the group uses to proudly describe its own members, and we adopted it in this report. While not a random sample, the responses offer valuable perspective on the experience of moms in the financial advisory profession. In total, 137 moms shared their insights.
